AMLEXANOX - MUCOUS MEMBRANE (am-LEX-uh-nox)

Uses:- Amlexanox is used to relieve the pain and redness caused by canker sores.
How to use:- Apply a thin layer of Amlexanox to the affected area as soon as possible after noticing the ulcer. Generally Amlexanox drug is used four times daily. It is best used after brushing/flossing following meals and at bedtime. With gentle pressure, dab the paste onto each ulcer in the mouth with a fingertip.
Continue use until the ulcer heals. Healing or pain control should occur within 10 days. If not, contact your dentist. Wash hands immediately after applying the medication.
Side Effects:-Pain, stinging or burning in the affected area of the mouth may occur. If side effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly. Very unlikely but report immediately: rash, severe mouth irritation, nausea, diarrhea. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
